Ogiermann now responsible for power station water treatment

Change at Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies

Celle, 29 January 2010 - Klaus Ogiermann, 38, is the new head of the Power and Chemicals business unit at water treatment company Berkefeld. At the subsidiary of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (VWS) he is thus responsible for one of the company's most important sales business activities and reports to the Managing Director Ulrich Jauss. The process technology engineer, a graduate of the Technical University Dresden, has worked as a sales and marketing engineer at Berkefeld since 2008. Previously, Ogiermann worked for about 10 years for Hager & Elsaesser, where he gained comprehensive experience in water treatment for the semiconductor, pharmaceuticals and power station industries. The focus of his new task is on further developing the company's close relationships with customers in the power station technology and chemicals industries. He will also bundle for this market sector the process technologies developed and used worldwide in the Veolia water technology arm. Klaus Ogiermann has taken over this position from Michael Luther, 44, who since January 2010 is responsible for the Projects business unit, meaning for the entire handling of orders including design, construction and commisioning.
